Sesame Sprinkle

A dry dressing salad or cooked veggies, this is a great take-along idea for work or travel. Sesame seeds are an excellent source of calcium, and this recipe contains 267 mg per serving.


1 cup hulled sesame seeds ½ tsp. garlic powder
¼ cup nutritional yeast flakes ½ tsp. salt
1 tsp onion powder


Place all ingredients into a dry blender or ½ recipe at a time into an electric coffee mill. Mill until seeds are ground and ingredients are well combined. Serve with lemon or lime juice over salad, baked potatoes or steamed vegetables. Use on garlic bread, or as a parmesan cheese substitute.

Freezes well. YIELD: 10 servings.
